WELCOME TO NOMADICMOROCCO.COM
The High Atlas Mountains of Morocco are the greatest mountain chain in North Africa. Stretching through Morocco for over 600kms towards the Algerian border in the east, the highest summits are over 4000m high......

We are a small independent professional mountain guiding company with years of experience in leading groups & individuals to some of the most remote and unspoilt areas in this fabulous mountain range. Everyone who works with & alongside us, either lives here in Morocco or they have in-depth knowledge of the country and so know & love these mountains well.

We have just signed a contract to write a book on Mountaineering in the High Atlas.
Until April 2010 or so, our focus will be on research trips and the like for the guidebook instead of organising guided trips.

If you'd like to join us on any of these research trips, just follow this link to find out more!

NomadicMorocco specialises in both the Western High and Mgoun regions. These offer superb trekking and mountaineering - "far from the madding crowd"!

Although Ighil Mgoun has the attraction of being over 4000m (it is 4068m), it is far enough away from Marrakech and remote enough from the main valley regions to prevent it being over-run with day-trippers and the like. The Western High Atlas are even less visited but there are some hidden gems to reward those who venture - Immaradene 3350m and Moulay Ali (also 3350m) being just two.
(If you are looking for a trip in or around the Toubkal region, then visit our sister website ToubkalMountainGuides.Com).

We aim to provide a truly personalised service from start to finish. Groups are small to ensure maximum safety, enjoyment, flexibility and because small groups "tread lightly". When we say "small" - we mean it and not just say it! Maximum of 6-8 persons depending on the trip (unless you specifically want to travel as a / with a larger group). This contrasts with other companies who when they talk "small" can mean up to 16 people in a group! Most of our work is private trips for two's and three's.
