NomadicMorocco is a trading name of AZRU Ltd, a UK registered company, but our (virtual!) office is based in southern Morocco where we live. We strive to offer high quality (mountain) adventure trips and give our clients something different from the bigger, international travel companies. Sensitivity to the local environment and Berber culture is of the utmost importance to all of us. Compared to the larger travel companies we have a small committed client base - the result of this is that we know most of our clients on an individual level and so can offer a highly personalised service before, during and after a trip. We are a small independent provider and have years of combined experience in leading groups and individuals to some of the most remote and unspoilt areas in this fabulous mountain range. We try and avoid paperwork as much as possible (a common aspiration we're sure!), and so we are entirely "internet based" in terms of marketing, trip information and so on. Often we're not just "paperless" but "office-less" as well as we spend a good deal of time out of "civilisation" and up in the mountains working on trips and also developing some health and educational projects in remote Berber mountain villages through our charity AMANtrust.org So please bear with us as we whilst we do reply to all our emails, it isn't always by return - no matter what satellite telephone or internet communications technology is at our disposal! No glossy brochures but lots of information here on our site, on our blog and for the asking by email! Hopefully you're getting the picture........ |

to Morocco leading trips for a number of years. They know & love
this country well and are passionate about the High Atlas mountains. ![]() A keen birdwatcher when he has time, he has enjoyed spotting the very rare and endangered Bald Ibis on the coast north of Agadir, as well as the resident Lammergeiers in the Toubkal & Mgoun massifs. Some
of the many comments from past trips!..... "Dear
Des, a happy team have returned. Thank you very much for hosting this
expedition. It's good to know that a team will be well looked after. The
feedback is excellent, thanks" "
I just wanted to send a note to say what an amazing trip we both had.
Having wanted to go to Morocco for quite a while now - it didn't
disappoint and we met some great people along the way. Once again, a
fantastic trip. " "the
trip was excellent - your planning, organisation and professionalism
were all first class. I hope we may continue this link with you for the
forseeable future" "it
was the best holiday of my life - the variety in the scenery was also
incredible...." "Dear
Des & Nathalie, Many thanks to you both and to all your staff for
making my trip to Morocco such a memorable experience. Special thanks to
Jacob who was a most entertaining and informative guide to Taroudant.
Another trip to Morocco is certainly on my future walking agenda. I will
also spread the word among likeminded friends." "the
itinerary was excellent - having a guide who actually lived in the
country made all the difference!" "I
really enjoyed it -- not just the climbing but also the scenery and
seeing how local people live. Camping on snow and sleeping in an azib
were new experiences for me, as was eating Berber-style without knives
and forks. It was all really memorable" "Thank
you also for your patient responses to my endless emails etc ! " "....
it was then and still remains a mighty experience" "The
trip went very very well - a fantastic trek" "Couldn't
have been better! Nothing could be improved on. But you probably hear
this all the time!" "The
scenery just blew my mind!" "We
all voted our time in the mountains to be the best part of the trip
giving us an insight we would never have got travelling by
ourselves." "We
felt privileged to experience life in the mountain villages and were
impressed by the courtesy extended to us." |
